FG Introduces Natural Gas Conversion Center In Kaduna


 

The Nigerian government says the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative will ease the burden of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians and reposition the country’s transportation landscape.

Programme Director of the initiative, Michael Oluwabgemi, said this during the inauguration of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas convertion centre in Kaduna at the weekend.


In August 2023, President Bola Tinubu endorsed the foundation of the Official Packed Petroleum gas Drive to pad the effect of the fuel Subsidy evacuation.


The drive is focusing north of 11,000 new CNG-empowered vehicles and 55,000 CNG change packs for existing PMS-subordinate vehicles.


Michael Oluwabgemi, said the move was a striking step towards acknowledging manageable, reasonable and eco-accommodating energy in Nigeria.


He additionally made sense of that the packed gaseous petrol drive will offer an elective fuel source that would help address the grumbles among Nigerians.


Following the fruitful initiation of CNG discussion focuses in Lagos and Abuja, specialists demand that the Central Government's emphasis on gathering CNG-empowered vehicles inside the nation will animate monetary development and support the country's car producing abilities.
