Lightning has struck and killed three students of the Tansi College, Okpuno, in Anambra State.
The students were having a football instructional meeting in the school field when the occurrence occurred on Sunday night.
An observer said that the lightning struck nine male students who were playing football - barefooted - with their friends on the school's pitch.
"The students were rehearsing on the football pitch with their coach preliminary to a competition. The coach had finished the instructional course before the downpour began however a portion of the students remained behind to keep playing football," the observer who argued namelessness said.
"Lightning, joined by applauds of rainstorms, abruptly wrapped the region and the young men were struck simultaneously."
The observer portrayed that an educator heard the understudies shouting and running and after getting to the field, he saw no less than nine studentes shaking and snapping on the turf. As indicated by him, the educator raised the alert, and occupants of the local area accumulated to help.
The young men were quickly raced to the school facility from where they were taken to a clinic in Awka. Six of them were revived and are getting treatment however three didn't get by.
