7.1-Greatness Quake Hits Indonesia's Bande Ocean
The quake was felt tolerably in the town of Saumlaki in the archipelago's Tanimbar Islands.

A 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s Banda Sea on Wednesday, the United States Geological Survey said, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
No wave cautioning was given for the tremor — at first detailed as a greatness 6.9 — which hit at 11:53 am neighborhood time (0453 GMT), as per the USGS.
The quake was felt reasonably in the town of Saumlaki in the archipelago's Tanimbar Islands, according to the Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Organization, or BMKG.
"The tremor was very serious. However, individuals here were not overreacting. We are accustomed to having tremors," Saumlaki occupant Lambert Tatang told AFP.
"Particularly after we discovered that there was no wave danger, so life is simply typical now," the 41-year-old said.
Indonesia encounters successive quakes because of its situation on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", a circular segment of extreme seismic movement that stretches from Japan through Southeast Asia and across the Pacific bowl.
In November last year, a 5.6-size shudder hit the crowded West Java region on the country's primary island of Java, killing 602 individuals.
In 2004, a 9.1-size shake struck the bank of Sumatra and set off a tidal wave that killed 220,000 all through the district, incorporating around 170,000 in Indonesia.
