APC and Tinubu Agree To Name Aiyedatiwa As Ondo's Acting Governor

The political standoff in Ondo State over Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN's absence, which lasted for five months, has been settled.
Invoking the concept of need, President Bola Tinubu and prominent members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) decided to declare the beleaguered Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the state's Acting Governor.
Lawmakers from Ondo State and several members of Akeredolu's cabinet attended the late-night meeting on Friday at the state house in Abuja.
Akeredolu, who returned from Germany on September 7, has not been in the state since his return but in his private residence in Ibadan, where he is said to be recuperating.
