Troops of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army have prevented a lady from jumping into the Lagos Lagoon. 


This is according to a Monday statement from the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 81 Division, Olabisi Olalekan Ayeni.



"Nigerian Armed force (NA) Operating under 81 Division NA have chivalrously forestalled a self destruction endeavor by one Mrs Francesca Flash who dove into the Lagos Lagoon around 81 Division Officials' Wreck, Marina Lagos trying to end her own life," the assertion read.


"The soldiers of 65 Battalion NA conveyed at the Officials' Wreck, who located Mrs Flash immediately utilized their military riverine abilities and inventiveness to safeguard her. She was given emergency treatment and balanced out by the legion clinical group."

It said after she was settled, "the family was reached and she was given over to her better half, one Mr Flash Oghene Ovie dwelling at Awoyaya Lagos".


Right after the salvage, the General Officer Command (GOC) 81 Division NA, Major General Muhammed Usman praised the warriors for their bravery in safeguarding the woman.


"The GOC said he is satisfied that fighters got their preparation fiasco the board to bear in such a basic circumstance that might have killed a compatriot," the Military added.


"Maj Gen Usman who said such an activity is a tactical activity other than war directed during crises or catastrophic events certified that troops have been prepared to help driving offices during crises."

The GOC hence guaranteed occupants of the Military's purpose to safeguard lives and properties in any event, during crises.
