Police Probe Alleged Involvement Of Soldiers In Killing Of Senator’s Aide

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of Adeniyi Sanni who was a senior aide to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, Solomon Adeola from Ogun State, South-West Nigeria.
Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who said the wife of Sanni told the police that her husband was stopped by some soldiers who wanted to see his papers, disclosed that the body of the deceased was found with about five bullet holes at his back and three shells of expended ammunition by his body.
In another statement by Kayode Odunaro who is the spokesperson for Senator Solomon Adeola, the deceased was stopped at a checkpoint around Berger Bus Stop on his way home and was asked to provide the particulars of the car he was driving which he did via WhatsApp through the help of his wife.
Odunaro further revealed that the wife subsequently received a call from passersby informing her of the location of her husband’s body after efforts to reach her husband proved abortive.
According to the spokesperson for the Senator, the deceased who had worked for Senator Adeola for over two decades was dumped at Toyota Bus Stop in Oshodi on Saturday morning.
