FG Requests that Non-Depository MDAs Asset Compensation Grant From IGR
Federal Government

The National Salaries Incomes and Wages Commission, NSIWC says President Tinubu has approved the grant of a wage award of 35 thousand naira only per month to all Federal Government workers with effect from September one, 2023, pending when a new national minimum wage is signed into law.

This is contained in a round endorsed by the director, NSIWC, Ekpo Nta, addressed to the administration, all federal government ministries, offices and organizations, MDAs.

Ekpo says the endorsement follows the Notice of Understanding arrived at between the National Legislature of Nigeria and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Worker's guild Congress of Nigeria, TUC on Monday, October 2 2023, because of the question emerging from withdrawal of sponsorship on the cost of fuel.

According to the circular, the execution of the N35,000 each month wage grant is for all Federal government's MDAs that are depository financed and the installment will be subsidized from the depository, while Non-depository supported Administrative
Government offices are to carry out same sum from their inside created
income, IGR or legal assignments.

The NSIWC exhorted that all requests concerning the roundabout ought to be coordinated to the National Incomes,
Salaries and Wages Commission.
